Reach out and Read R.I. raises $75K for children’s literacy

PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island branch of the national nonprofit organization, Reach out and Read, held a fundraiser on May 4 in which 220 donors raised more than $75,000 in support of children’s literacy.

Now in its 18th year, Reach out and Read R.I. supports more than 35,000 children aged 6 months to 5 years old at 70 clinical sites across the Ocean State and has donated more than 73,000 books to children in need.
