PROVIDENCE – The average price of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline remained $2.58 per gallon, 11 cents above the national average of $2.47 per gallon, according to AAA Northeast.
Regular gasoline averaged 34 cents higher this week than at this time last year.

Prices in Rhode Island ranged 40 cents from a low of $2.31 to a high of $2.71 per gallon.
Midgrade unleaded gas in Rhode Island averaged $2.85 this week, ranging from $2.51 to $2.99 per gallon.
Premium unleaded averaged $3.01 in the Ocean State this week, ranging from $2.68 to $3.15 per gallon.

Midgrade unleaded averaged $2.70 per gallon in Massachusetts, ranging from $2.45 to $2.95 per gallon.
