On Veterans Day, November 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the VFW Hall at 7 Haven Street in Cranston, RI will be the site for the official launch of The Wholly Waffle restaurant project.

Bob Lancia, a veteran Navy and Marine chaplain, is establishing a restaurant with the purpose of hiring and training military veterans primarily in the 18 to 24 age group, providing them a first break to help start careers in the civilian world.
The event is the kick-off for a crowdfunding campaign that can be accessed from www.whollywaffle.com. The online campaign will begin November 11, with the goal of raising capital for lease, equipment, renovation and other restaurant expenses.
The public and media are invited.
The event will feature imprinted The Wholly Waffle mugs, coffee and pastries provided by local vendors, and a waffle-making demonstration with samples. Attendees can purchase one of the mugs for a minimum donation of $25 with all proceeds going toward the restaurant project. Bob Lancia will also give an overview of the project and take questions from media.
