That approach seems to be working. Customers Bank was recently named the nation’s fastest growing bank on Bank Director magazine’s 2013 Growth Leaders Ranking.
“That kind of success doesn’t happen unless you’re keeping your customers happy,” said Taylor
“Offering a totally free checking option is part of that commitment. No minimum balance requirement. No monthly fee. No per check charges. We don’t charge you our fee for using other banks’ ATMs.”
Wyomissing, Pa.-based Customers Bank moved into the Rhode Island market with the March 29 acquisition of the regional business of Flagstar Bank. Customers Bank has regional headquarters in Providence and a second regional office in Boston.
