TIVERTON – A historic property known as Squire Chase Farm in Tiverton recently sold for $1.1 million, according to Residential Properties Ltd., which represented the seller.
The 228 East Road farm property came on the market this year for the first time in 46 years, according to Residential Properties. The 3,028-square-foot home on the farm property was constructed in 1875, according to property records.

The home contains three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The property also includes a barn and 23.8 acres of land.
The barn on the property is 2,900 square feet and was constructed in 1950, according to the town’s online property tax evaluation database. There’s also another 250-square-foot barn on the property constructed in 1950 and a 675-square-foot garage.
The property was most recently valued by Tiverton assessors in fiscal year 2023 as being worth $725,300, according to the tax evaluation database.
The property is located directly adjacent to 1,500 acres of conservation land known as part of the Weetamoo Woods, which includes more than 10 miles of walking trails.
The seller of the property was represented by Residential Properties sales associate Brian James, of the firm’s OnPoint Team. Susan Perry, of Lila Delman Compass, represented the buyer.
The property was sold by Helen Babcock, of Tennessee, according to the warranty deed, a public record of the sale. It was purchased by Callil Capuozzo and Kristien Nguyen, according to the deed.
