BARRINGTON – A five-bedroom home on Rumstick Road recently sold for nearly $3 million, according to Compass Inc.
The 204 Rumstick Road property is the fifth-highest sale in Barrington so far this year, according to Compass, citing data from the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service.

The colonial-style home, built in 1950, contains 5,495 square feet of living space and sits on a 1.22-acre lot in the Rumstick Point area. The property includes five bedrooms and four bathrooms, including three full bathrooms and one half-bath.
The home features an open floor plan along with formal living and dining rooms, a family room with a wood-burning hearth, and a gas fireplace in the living room, Compass said. The first floor also includes an office or sunroom and a kitchen with custom cabinetry, granite countertops and a range of appliances.
Upstairs, the primary suite includes a marble bathroom and a custom mahogany walk-in dressing room. Four additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms are also located on the second floor, according to Compass, including one that is nearly 500 square feet.
A renovation completed in 2012 updated the property’s plumbing, electrical systems and multizone heating and cooling, Compass said. The property also features integrated surround sound, a central vacuum system and a 20-kilowatt whole-house generator. The home has two fireplaces, central air conditioning and an attached three-car garage, the real estate firm said.
Additionally, the property includes an in-ground pool and cabana, tennis court, patio and porch, along with landscaped grounds, enclosed in part by stone walls, Compass said.
The property had a 2026 total assessment of $2.2 million, consisting of $737,000 for the land, $1.43 million for the building and $35,000 for outbuildings, according to the Barrington assessor’s database.
Elizabeth Kirk and Lisa Schryver of Compass represented the sellers, while Amanda Bruneau of Compass represented the buyers, according to the brokerage.
A warranty deed documenting the sale was not immediately available through the Barrington Assessors’ Office.
