Over the course of her career, Amy has represented more than 20 financial institutions in a broad range of commercial finance matters, with particular emphasis on non-recourse and limited recourse debt, real estate and construction financing, secured borrowing base facilities, bridge and mezzanine financing, including bilateral and multi-lender transactions. Projects includes multifamily housing, shopping centers, hotels, condominiums, mixed-use developments, and multistate fund portfolios throughout the country.
She regularly advises clients on acquisitions, joint ventures, layered financing structures, tax stabilization matters, leasing, development, and economic development incentives. She also regularly serves as local counsel for significant real estate development projects. Amy’s experience advising parties on all sides of development projects gives her a practical understanding of competing priorities and enables her to efficiently guide complex transactions from structuring through closing.
Amy maintains a highly regarded tax credit practice, representing developers, investors, and lenders in complex federal tax credit transactions, including historic rehabilitation, low-income housing, new markets and renewable energy credits. She is an expert in Rhode Island and Massachusetts tax incentives and routinely assists clients with the Commerce Rhode Island programs involving Rebuild RI credits, Sales and Use Tax Rebates, Qualified Jobs, and Tax Increment Financing.
Amy is the State Chair for the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation. Amy received recognition as a 2025 Women of Influence in Commercial Real Estate by ALM/Globe St. and is Chambers ranked for finance and real estate. She currently serves as a Trustee of Preserve Rhode Island and previously served as Director and Corporate Secretary for each of Skills for Rhode Island’s Future and Child & Family.
