PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Public Utilities Commission announced on Thursday it has approved $28 million in winter electric bill credits for more than 450,000 Rhode Island Energy residential customers, with the first $20.45 credit scheduled to appear on January bills. The credits will be issued in January, February and March 2027, totaling $61.35 per residential
