MANSFIELD – Covidien Plc won a $4.8 million verdict against Applied Medical Resources Corp. for patent infringement last week.
A federal jury in Lufkin, Texas, found that Applied Medical infringed on a Covidien patent in making its Kii and Universal laparoscopic trocars, which are used for minimally invasive surgery.
