Senior-living community unveils renovation work

PORTSMOUTH – Atria Aquidneck Place, a senior-living community, yesterday unveiled the work done as part of a $5 million renovation.
Along with updating the complex’s apartments, the renovation included a new courtyard, with a gazebo and walking path, and updates to the site’s café, beauty salon, wellness center and activity areas.
Designed by Gruzen Samton, a New York-based architecture firm, the renovation was a year-long project.
“We share a common goal with Rhode Island leaders and that is to protect area seniors and enhance their quality of life,” Executive Director Linda Silveira said. “The outcome of this project is a beautifully renovated building that we know our residents are proud to call home.”
