The Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Growers gathering took place Oct. 11 at Warren’s Frerichs Farm. The 15th annual weigh-in attracted George and Mary Ann Hoomis of Ipswitch, Mass., above, whose pumpkin tipped the scale at 735 pounds. But Joseph Jutras, of North Scituate, won with a 1,507-pound entry.
