LINCOLN – Amica Mutual Insurance Co. has signed a deal with Intelligent Compression Technologies Inc. of Quincy, Mass., a subsidiary of ViaSat Inc., to supply its AcceleNet wireless data acceleration product to Amica so the insurer can provide high-speed wireless data services to its mobile work force.
AcceleNet “dramatically reduces” the time it takes individuals to browse the Web, download e-mail and attachments and transfer corporate files, all while maintaining data integrity, according to Intelligent.
