ATC acquires Lincoln Environmental

SMITHFIELD – Lincoln Environmental Inc.’s operating assets have been acquired by ATC Group Services Inc. of Woburn, Mass., doing business as ATC Associates Inc. Terms were not disclosed.
Lincoln Environmental (www.lincolnenv.com/) is an engineering and science firm, now in its 23rd year, focusing on the analysis and correction of environmental incidents. It has been active in brownfields work, real estate site assessments, regulatory consulting and hazardous waste management, including the handling of underground storage tanks. The company has been serving clients across New England from its local headquarters and a Connecticut branch office.
ATC, now marking its 25th year, is a provider of health and safety, construction testing, environmental and environmental engineering services to the public and private sectors. It has been ranked as the nation’s No. 1 asbestos and lead consultant and one of the top 100 design and environmental consultants by Engineering News-Record.
The acquisition “reflects our commitment to better focus our resources and efforts” across New England, according to David Tiernan, ATC vice president and area manager, adding: “We are pleased to acquire the expanded waste transportation services to support our customer’s needs nationwide.”
“There is a lot of synergy between ATC and Lincoln Environmental, who serve many diverse client sectors,” said former Lincoln Environmental President Gary Ezovski, who described the acquisition as “a win-win for current customers and our employees.”
The companies’ Rhode Island operations are to be combined at the former Lincoln Environmental headquarters, at 333 Washington Highway, Smithfield, under the name ATC Lincoln Associates.
