A SURVEY, conducted by HR consulting firm Aon Hewitt, showed that American employers were planning on cutting bonuses despite the strength of the economy. Above, black represents total compensation as a percentage of total budget, red represents wages and bonuses as a percentage of budget while blue represents planned raises as a percentage of budget. Total compensation and bonuses have declined and are projected to continue to decline while salary increased and is projected to continue to tick up in 2019. / BLOOMBERG NEWS
