PROVIDENCE – Bally’s Corp., the growing national company formerly known as Twin River Worldwide Holdings Inc., is expanding its local footprint to Warwick.

Bally’s announced on Monday morning that it’s holding a ribbon cutting later this week to celebrate the opening of an office in Warwick to house its Bally’s interactive technology services focused on sports betting, online gaming and digital audience engagement.

The new office will be located at 475 Kilvert Street, Building A, according to the announcement from Bally’s.

The ribbon cutting on Wednesday afternoon is scheduled to be attended by Rhode Island’ House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi and Senate President Dominick J. Ruggerio, two major proponents of the 20-year deal passed in June providing Bally’s and International Game Technology PLC with control over the state’s legal gambling operations.

The 20-year deal requires Bally’s to create at least 30 new jobs at a “corporate headquarters” in Rhode Island by Dec. 31, 2022.

“Strong protections are in place to ensure that Rhode Islanders continue to reap the benefits of our strong partnership with the company for decades to come,” Ruggerio said recently, in an email to Providence Business News.

Bally’s didn’t immediately provide answers to questions about whether this office will be for the 30 jobs promised in the 20-year deal.

The news comes following a series of acquisitions this year by Bally’s, including the $2.7 billion of international online gaming operator Gamesys Group PLC. In addition to 14 casinos across 10 states, the Rhode Island company now has access to mobile sports betting markets in 16 states, and it owns a daily fantasy sports site called Monkey Knife Fight and this year it also acquired Telescope Inc., a provider of real-time digital audience engagement for live events and interactive online streaming.

The Warwick ribbon cutting also comes on the heels of the launch of Bally’s national rebranding campaign, and its groundbreaking on a $100 million expansion of its Bally’s Twin River Casino in Lincoln, with 50,000 square feet of added space that’s currently under construction as required under the 20-year deal signed earlier this year by Gov. Daniel J. McKee.

Lee Fenton, who was appointed CEO of Bally’s after leading Gamesys for many years, recently said that Bally’s employs 1,800 Rhode Islanders, including at its corporate headquarters in Providence and its two casinos in Lincoln and Tiverton, with about 10,000 employees nationwide.
