The initiative covers three areas: digital infrastructure, including data centers, semiconductors and telecommunications; energy and power infrastructure, including generation, storage and distribution; and core infrastructure, including transportation, water systems, electric transmission and grid upgrades.
Bank of America said the financing could support tens of thousands of jobs across construction, manufacturing, technology and other industries.
The effort will be led by the bank’s Global Capital Solutions and Global Infrastructure & Sustainable Finance teams and will involve financing, investment, capital markets and advisory transactions.
The bank said the $250 billion figure will be measured based on eligible activity in those areas during the 18-month period.
Bank of America said its initiative comes as demand grows for computing capacity, energy, manufacturing facilities, transportation systems and supply-chain infrastructure.
In 2025, the bank invested nearly $40 million in more than 730 workforce-development organizations across the country, which the organizations estimated helped connect more than 90,000 people to employment opportunities and provided training, education and career-readiness programs to more than 290,000 people.
