PROVIDENCE – A home in College Hill that won a prestigious architectural award has sold for $2.1 million, the largest sale in the East Side submarket of Providence this year.

The house at 51 Prospect St., designed by Albert Garcia of Kite Architects, won an Honor Award through the American Institute of Architects Rhode Island design awards.

The sale closed on Monday.

The contemporary design features a bright, open floor plan with high ceilings, a floating staircase and large walls of glass with views of the Providence skyline, according to a property description.
