2025 40 Under Forty Awards Program

Accepting Nominations and Applications

Now in its 21st year, the 40 Under Forty Awards program recognizes outstanding young professionals in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts who are excelling in their industries.

We are looking for leaders and entrepreneurs who are driven by success, motivated by challenges, actively involved in the community, and serve as role models for their peers.

Honorees (must be under 40 as of the event date—July 17) will be recognized at PBN’s 40 Under Forty Awards Celebration at the Aldrich Mansion on July 17. They will also be featured in a special report published on July 19. Click Here to view the 2024 40 Under Forty Special Section 

Three Ways to Participate:

• Nominate Someone
• Be Nominated
• Self-Apply

When a nomination is submitted, an email is automatically sent to the nominee (using the email entered in the nomination form) with a link to the application. If you prefer the nominee not be notified, enter your own email instead. Only name, title, and email are required to nominate someone. Multiple nominations are not necessary. If you are self-applying, you do not need to submit a nomination.

Application Requirements:

The application includes the following sections:

• Educational Background
• Current Employment Information
• A short description explaining why you (or the nominee) should be considered for the award
• Biographical Career Profile (1–2 pages) including:
  • Significant professional accomplishments
  • Decision-making responsibilities
  • Special skills and abilities
  • Efforts that have contributed to company growth
  • Professional recognition, licenses, published works, honors, and awards
  • Community involvement, board memberships, and volunteer efforts
• Current resume (including 2-3 professional reference letters)

We typically receive over 150 applications. Be as thorough as possible.
