GreenBytes GB-X storage product receives VMware certification

ASHAWAY – GreenBytes Inc. has received VMware Ready status for its GB-X Series storage products, the data storage firm announced last week.

“We are pleased that GreenBytes’ GB-X Series qualifies for the VMware Ready logo,” said Berni Mills, senior director of alliance programs for VMware. “[It signifies] to customers that it has passed specific VMware testing and interoperability criteria and is ready to run their mission-critical business applications and operations.”

The VMware Ready co-branding program identifies partner hardware and software products that are interoperable with VMware Inc. solutions. It is designed to help customers choose products that are compatible to help reduce risk and lower integration costs.

GreenBytes CEO Bob Petrocelli said, “VMware Ready verification is an integral step in providing VMware customers and channel partners with a new alternative to help achieve a high-performance and economical platform for the deployment of virtual servers and desktops.”
