HopeHealth Visiting Nurse earns Joint Commission accreditation, recertification

LINCOLN – HopeHealth Visiting Nurse has earned accreditation and recertification for its home health care and community-based palliative care program after passing a federal review.

The process, conducted by The Joint Commission, also resulted in a Gold Seal of Approval for HopeHealth’s demonstration of continuous compliance with quality patient care performance standards.

The accreditation is valid for three years.

“We are pleased to have earned accreditation from the Joint Commission,” said HopeHealth Chief Operating Officer Maureen Bischoff. “This approval confirms the deep commitment of our clinical care teams to providing quality care to our patients and their families.”

To achieve full compliance, HopeHealth underwent a five-day virtual review in March of 2021, followed by an unannounced on-site inspection.

The Joint Commission, a private accreditor, bases its review standards on those set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
