PROVIDENCE – International Game Technology PLC has extended its sports-betting services to tribal gaming in Mississippi, the company announced in a press release.
Under a signed agreement with the Choctaw Indians, IGT will offer its PlayDigital sports-betting solution, PlayShot, at both the Pearl River Resorts’ Golden Moon Hotel & Casino and Silver Star Hotel & Casino in Choctaw, and at Bok Homa Casino in Sandersville.
Last month, Golden Moon Hotel & Casino became the first tribal casino outside of Nevada to open a sports book after the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act regulation.
With the IGT agreement, casino patrons can place pre-match and in-play wagers over the counter at the three Mississippi casinos. IGT kiosks are planned as well.
“IGT’s leading entry into the tribal gaming, sports-betting space demonstrates how a wide variety of casino operators can benefit from our flexible, market-ready PlayShot sports-betting solution,” said Enrico Drago, IGT senior vice president, PlayDigital, in a statement.
