BURLINGTON, Mass. – iRobot Corp. (Nasdaq: IRBT) today announced the addition of two pool-cleaning models to its line of home robots.
The Verro 300 and Verro 600 – priced at $799 and $1,199, respectively – were developed by Aqua Products Group companies including AquaJet LLC and Aquatron Inc., the company said.
The new robots clean an entire pool, from floor to waterline, in 60 to 90 minutes, iRobot said.
The Verro 300 – designed for gunite or concrete pools – features a hydro-jet power-washing system to clean cracks, pores and seams. The 600 – designed for vinyl, tile and fiberglass surfaces – uses brushes to clean the pool. Each has a vacuum and filtration system to trap debris, dust, algae and bacteria as small as 2 microns. (A human hair averages 70 microns in thickness.)
Installation is easy: just plug in the robot and drop it in the pool. Either model can clean almost any pool, the company said.
