Aleppo Sweets is a Syrian bakery specializing in baklava, headed by baker Youssef Akhtarini. Big King is the restaurant by chef James Mark (the local acclaimed chef is known for his restaurant north) in north’s former location at 3 Luongo Square in Providence.

2. New apartment building proposed in Jewelry District of Providence POSTED ONLINE: SEPT. 10 A new 12-story, 131-residential-unit building to be built in Providence’s Jewelry District was proposed before the city’s Downtown Design Review Committee. The building, proposed by Providence Chestnut I LLC, would take the place of two existing buildings at 151 and 155 Chestnut St., and include studio apartments, one- and two-bedroom apartments, and retail space.
