R.I., Mass. gas prices rise again with demand

PROVIDENCE – The average weekly price of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline in Rhode Island increased 4 cents to $2.99 per gallon. That price is 8 cents lower than the national average and 8 cents higher than a year ago, AAA Northeast said Monday.  Northeast pump prices are rising due to shrinking inventories and growing demand, the agency said Monday.
