Rite Aid shareholders reelect 4 directors

CAMP HILL, Pa. – Stockholders have returned four members to the Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE:RAD) board of directors, the company said late yesterday.
Shareholders at a special meeting “overwhelmingly approved” the reelection of directors Mary Sammons, George G. Golleher and Philip Satre and the election of Andre Belzile, the company said. Their terms will expire at the annual shareholders’ meeting in 2010.
Belzile was named to the board on June 4 under an agreement with the Canada-based Jean Coutu Group that was part of Rite Aid’s Brooks-Eckerd acquisition.
Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE:RAD) completed its acquisition of the Brooks-Eckerd drugstore chain on June 4. The company has 5,100 stores in 31 states and the District of Columbia, yielding annual revenue of $27 billion. To learn more, visit www.riteaid.com.
