PROVIDENCE – Roger Williams Medical Center is again sponsoring a free “Mini Medical School,” an educational program for anyone interested in learning more about the science and medicine behind health care.
The first session, last week, focused on hematological malignancies and myelodysplastic syndrome. On May 20, a session was scheduled to be offered on the use of laser ablation for varicose veins. On May 25, the last session will focus on the inner workings of an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).
The sessions are held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Kay Auditorium at Roger Williams Medical Center, 825 Chalkstone Ave., Providence. To learn more or to register, e-mail lethier@rwmc.org. •
