Rhode Island Housing has honored Tirrell Realty of East Providence for its work with first-time homebuyers, naming the brokerage Realtor of the Quarter after it led the state in the number of home sales financed through Rhode Island Housing last quarter.
“The typical first-time buyer needs a Realtor who is willing to spend the time to thoroughly explain the buying and borrowing process,” said Millie Wright, loan officer for Rhode Island Housing. “Tirrell Realty’s performance is unsurpassed. They really make it easy for home buyers.”
Rhode Island Housing offers below-market interest rates ranging from 4.75 percent to 5.5 percent, depending on household income, with 30-, 35- or 40-year terms. In 2006, the agency provided $210 million to help people buy their first homes.
