UMass launches program on environmental policy

DARTMOUTH – University of Massachusetts Dartmouth has launched an online Environmental Policy Graduate Certificate program designed for professionals who wouldn’t normally have time to enter the graduate program.
The program is offered by the Mass. Department of Public Policy and the university’s new College of Education, Public Policy and Civic Engagement through the Division of Professional and Continuing Education.
The goals of the program are to provide an understanding of the major ecological issues; develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on policy analysis; and foster the development and implementation of environmentally sound policies and practices.
Students who complete the program will receive preferential consideration in applying for the master’s degree in public policy program.
