PBN's inaugural C-Suite Awards program drew 250 honorees, colleagues, family and friends to the Omni Providence Hotel Tuesday.

PROVIDENCE – The theme of the night was teamwork, and that was never more apparent than when Lisa Bisaccia, the executive vice president, chief human resources officer for CVS Health Corp., rose from her seat to accept the inaugural Career Achiever Award at the Providence Business News C-Suite Awards program Tuesday night at the Omni Providence Hotel.
Two tables worth of CVS associates, including the president of CVS/pharmacy, Helena Foulkes, rose and cheered on Bisaccia as she came to the podium and delivered brief remarks. Bisaccia credited her team with helping her achieve corporate goals of improved lifestyles, something that has become ever more important at a company that sees itself having a major impact on the nation’s health.
The largest ovation for Bisaccia came when she revealed that the thing that has made her most proud, more than coordinating benefits for 245,000 employees or overseeing a $1 billion employment benefits budget. It was CVS’ decision in 2014 to stop selling tobacco products in its retail outlets.
While recognition of Bisaccia was the culmination of the evening’s festivities, the 250 attendees showed appreciation for all the other winners as well, giving extended applause as they came forward to accept their awards. The honorees’ expertise ranged from data analytics to devising new health insurance products to viral video marketing. The C-Suite Awards program is an outgrowth of PBN’s Chief Financial Officers Awards initiative, which began in 2011.
