Surgeon gen. speaks in at women’s health conference

PROVIDENCE – Vice Admiral Regina M. Benjamin, the U.S. surgeon general, was the keynote speaker at quality conference held Nov. 10 by The Women’s Health Council of Rhode Island.
The focus of the conference, sponsored by Lifespan, was “Women’s Health – Bridging Physical and Behavioral Health.”
Participants in two panel discussions included: Dr. Linda Carpenter, Dr. Teri Pearlstein and Beatrice Perez, Lt. Gov. Elizabeth H. Roberts and Linda Nagy.
Closing remarks were given by Dr. Mary Reich Cooper, senior vice president and chief quality officer for Lifespan.
