Newport Harbor Hotel completes renovation of 133 guestrooms

NEWPORT – The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina recently completed a renovation and redesign of 133 guestrooms, more than half of which overlook the marina and harbor.

The rooms have updated bedding, new window treatments, carpet, wallpaper, bathroom flooring and art.

The goal was to enhance the guest experience, according to Kristine Cox, general manager. “The redesign is fresh, clean and represents our waterfront location beautifully,” she said.

The rooms were last updated more than 10 years ago, according to a spokeswoman.

The hotel, at 49 America’s Cup Ave., is owned by the Shaner Hotel Group, based in State College, Pa. It is among 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the company in the U.S., Italy and the Bahamas.
