SEEKONK – Local high school students and dental professionals from Southcoast Smiles will join forces to provide free dental care to those in need during the 10th annual Dentistry from the Heart event on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Individuals aged 18 or older are eligible for free dental exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions on Saturday with no appointments needed. Participants need not have insurance as well.

Southcoast Smiles guarantees the first 200 people who register Saturday morning will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The daylong event (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) will take place at 185 Highland Avenue.
Last year’s event saw more than $75,000 in dental services donated to more than 200 individuals who couldn’t otherwise afford the treatment.
