“State treasurers play a vital role in promoting economic growth and financial well-being for our citizens,” said Magaziner. “NAST plays an important role in convening state treasurers, so we can work together to implement sound financial policies and programs that benefit people in our respective states. I am pleased to continue my active role in this bipartisan organization.”
The succession will coincide with Vermont State Treasurer Beth Pearson becoming president of the association. She will replace outgoing president Ken Miller, state treasurer of Oklahoma.
The successions are slated for Jan. 1.
