TAUNTON – Michele Roberts, executive vice president and community affairs officer at Bristol County Savings Bank, was recognized for her leadership in banking at a recent conference.
Roberts received the Sandra J. Pattie Distinguished Leadership Award at the sixth annual New England Women in Banking Conference held at the Gurney Resort & Marina in Newport. The conference focuses on women in banking, and Roberts was lauded for her role as a business leader and community advocate.

“Every year we look across the region’s financial landscape to honor women who’ve made an extraordinary contribution,” said Vincent M. Valvo, CEO of the conference. “[Roberts] has been a role model for women in finance not only because of her career success at Bristol County Savings Bank but also due to her consistent efforts to give back to the community and to help others succeed in their careers.”
Roberts, with 25 years in the industry, has held several positions at the Taunton-based bank, and served as the face of the institution’s charitable foundation for two decades.
“For decades now, Michele’s leadership and dedication has been a key component to helping the bank make a positive impact within the communities we serve through the partnerships we form, the volunteerism of our employees and the investments we make,” said Patrick Murray, president and CEO of BCSB.
