PROVIDENCE – The Northern Rhode Island Collaborative recognized Dr. Jason Rafferty as a special partner at the organization’s annual meeting March 22 for his ongoing cooperation and commitment to the students and staff of the Northern Rhode Island Collaborative.
NRIC announced the honor during its 32nd annual meeting at the Pawtucket Country Club in Pawtucket.

Rafferty is an attending psychiatrist and pediatrician at Thundermist Health Center, Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Emma Pendleton Bradley Hospital. He and other members of the Thundermist staff were recognized by NRIC for their work to improve health care access, community outreach and social services for underserved residents of northern Rhode Island. Rafferty focuses much of his clinical work on marginalized adolescent and young adult populations, particularly LGBTQ and substance-using youth.
The Northern Rhode Island Collaborative is a nonprofit educational service center committed to providing special education programs and educational services to partner school districts and community partners throughout northern Rhode Island.
