
Rhode Island has invested heavily in its port infrastructure in recent years, to retrofit what had been created with the last century’s industries in mind. A bond approved in 2016 was the latest effort. It provided $70 million to the two ports in Rhode Island, including a $20 million share for the Port of Providence
