CRANSTON – The R.I. Emergency Management Agency has introduced five public mobile-device charging kiosks throughout the state.
The kiosks, funded by the Department of Homeland Security, will provide Rhode Islanders a way to stay powered up and informed in case of emergency, RIEMA said.

One kiosk is in operation at the R.I. Department of Motor Vehicles in Cranston, two kiosks are at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick and two are at the food court at Warwick Mall, RIEMA said.
The kiosks are part of a mobile-device charging resource purchased by the state with federal funding, according to RIEMA.
Four more kiosks and a charging trailer will be used by request at community events and as a supplemental power source during outages.
