Will the proposed MBTA fare increase for the train to Boston decrease the commuter ridership for the service?

The question is simple. Will a $300 a year increase in monthly pass fares for the Providence (or T.F. Green or Wakefield) to Boston MBTA train cause commuters to revolt and go back to driving up to the Hub, or shrink the number of reverse commuters who like to relax on the ride down to Rhode Island?
