PROVIDENCE – Two bills have been introduced in the General Assembly that would address the regulation of a harmful class of chemicals known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, ecoRI News reported March 2. Since PFAS don’t break down in the environment, they often make their way into wastewater treatment systems and drinking-water supplies.
