PROVIDENCE – With last year’s event canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this year’s event set to be virtual, the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance’s Defense Innovation Days will take place Aug. 30-31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.
The annual event showcases innovation and technology in the defense industry.

Confirmed speakers include Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee; Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee; Rep. James Langevin, D-R.I., chair of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Innovative Technologies and Information Systems; and Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Tentative agenda topics include: “A National Conversation on Defense”; “A National Conversation on Foreign Affairs Defense”; and “A National Conversation on Climate and Defense.”
The Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance was formed to identify, champion and coordinate issues that contribute to national security and provide benefits to its members, local communities, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security and other federal government agencies.
SENEDIA works to be a catalyst for thought leadership and technical innovation in undersea technology, cybersecurity and defense technologies. Event registration for Defense Innovation Days may be made here.
Admission is $100 for members and federal government employees, $200 for nonmembers.
