WASHINGTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration has revamped its website, featuring SBA Direct – a personalization tool to help small businesses navigate the site.
SBA Direct allows visitors to personalize according to business type, geography and needs and then delivers targeted information on all aspects of running a business, including: steps to finding a mentor; templates for writing a business plan; and 20 questions before starting a business.
“With the launch of the new [website] we have reached a significant milestone in how the agency has evolved in using interactive Web tools, social media and blogs to engage with, and better meet the needs of small business owners,” said Karen Mills, SBA administrator, in a news release on Dec. 21.
The website also has: improved its search and navigation, and integrated business.gov content, interactive location-based maps to allow users to find small business resources in their area, and user-rated content to allow users to determine the most relevant information.
In the release, the SBA also highlighted its Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.
