EASTON – Wendy and Mark Badia are the owners of Pharmasol Corp., the modern equivalent of a mom-and-pop company in Easton, Mass., and are being recognized by the Smaller Business Association of New England along with 10 other regional businesses.

“For some, we help by mobilizing connections and resources to solve a problem while for others, it is liquidity needs,” said Bob Baker, president of SBANE, told Providence Business News. This is the fifth year that the organization has recognized successful collaborations.
Pharmasol was granted a $175,000 loan by SBANE to implement an inventory control system that has boosted the company’s profitability.
“The Smaller Business Association helped us in a time when a lot of banks weren’t willing to,” said Mark Badia, who has co-owned Pharmasol with his wife Wendy since 1996. “The organization’s support was extra assurance for the banks that we were financially stable.”
Pharmasol specializes in aerosol products and has a list of clients that include Banana Republic, The Body Shop and Gap.
“We have been working with companies in distress for five years now, and when you do that, you become a focal point for companies,” said Baker, who sees a positive signs for small businesses in Massachusetts. “People are experiencing top-line growth and trends are a lot brighter,” he added.
