BCBSRI magazine earns international awards

PROVIDENCE – Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island has won several awards for its Choices magazine, a quarterly member publication, in two separate international competitions.
Blue Cross won three Communicator Awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
It also won four prizes in the Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition for creative professionals sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. More than 3,600 entries were submitted for that competition, which includes corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, Web designers and more.
Blue Cross won two “platinum” Hermes awards, for an article on grief and for the overall excellence of its winter 2009 issue, and two “gold” awards for its fall 2009 issue.
“We are thrilled to be recognized once again for the health educational material we develop for our members,” said Michele B. Lederberg, executive vice president of Blue Cross. &#8226
