WOONSOCKET – Landmark Medical Center is seeking student volunteers.
The hospital says the program, open to high school and college students ages 14 to 20, offers volunteer hands-on experience in health care and a chance to give time to the community by working with hospital staff and assisting patients.
A minimum of 25 hours over seven weeks is required during the program, which runs from June 28 through Aug. 13. Flexible shifts of three to six hours are available during the day Monday through Friday, along with limited evening and weekend hours. Orientation and training are provided. The deadline to reserve placement is Tuesday, June 1. Student volunteer positions are available in the following departments: dietary, information desk, patient registration, nursing units, storeroom and various administrative areas.
