Westerly Hospital sponsors healthy-living program

As part of its Healthy for Life community education series, The Westerly Hospital is sponsoring a free program on Jan. 1 called “Not Just Another New Year’s Resolution – Sustaining a Healthier Lifestyle.”
The program, to be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center, will be presented by Dr. Edsell Bernardo, an internal medicine specialist and member of the hospital staff, and Judy Serra, a registered nurse in the cardiac rehabilitation unit.
The discussion will cover topics such as eating right and exercise, as well as managing cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes.
To register for this program, call (401) 348-2303. For a complete schedule of all of community education programs and support groups offered at The Westerly Hospital, visit the hospital’s Web site or call Community Relations at 348-2300.
