BURLINGTON, Mass. – Since its formation in 2003, Linear Retail Properties LLC has bought 46 commercial properties for more than $220 million.
That includes the 10,600-square-foot commercial property at 1138 Post Road, in Warwick, which Linear this week said it had picked up for $1.6 million.

The property is the third Linear has picked up in the Ocean State. It also owns 1000 Bald Hill Rd. in Warwick and the Smithfield Commons shopping center in Smithfield. The company’s Bay State holdings include North Main Place in Fall River and Oceanside Plaza in New Bedfore.
The firm’s strategy is to build a $250 million portfolio by buying “convenience-oriented” retail properties across the region.
Over the past six months, it has purchased six properties and is “busy working to buy more,” Aubrey Cannuscio, a partner in Linear Retail, said in a statement.
“These somewhat smaller shopping centers were straight-forward investments for us,” she said. “We’ve remained very active in the wake of the ongoing credit market turmoil.”
Linear Retail Properties LLC focuses on the acquisition and management of “convenience-oriented” retail properties in the Greater Boston area, eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, southern New Hampshire and southern Maine. To learn more, visit www.LinearRetail.com.
