WEST WARWICK – Cox Communications has teamed up with McAfee to offer its high-speed Internet customers a free security boost.

The new service – Cox Security Suite, available for free to the cable company’s high-speed Internet subscribers – will include McAfee products that normally cost $69.95:
• McAfee VirusScan Plus, which offers anti-virus, anti-spyware programs and personal firewall protection.
• McAfee PrivacyService, which offers identity theft protection and parental controls with filters for offensive content, pictures, and Web sites.
• McAfee SiteAdvisor, which adds a safety rating to sites and search engine results to help avoid online dangers.
