PROVIDENCE – NOW Delivery, the company formed by the Jan. 23 merger of Network Delivery and Now Courier, both of Providence, has hired an outside executive to serve as CEO.
Don Smith – most recently president of Force One Trucking in Valley Steam, N.Y., and previously the president of Sky Courier of Sterling, Va., an Airborne Express subsidiary – has more than 25 years’ experience in transportation management, the company said.

“As our CEO, Don will be responsible for the calculated movement into other markets, further solidifying our position as the dominant courier and logistics company in the Southern New England marketplace,” said Stephen A. Wright, previously of Network Delivery, the new company’s chief operating officer.
Wright and Now Courier’s Robert Halkyard will serve as directors of the new company. Christopher Halkyard will serve as chief administrative officer.
