Gasoline prices are on the rise again after 10 weeks in decline, pushed up by higher crude oil prices and colder weather, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s Jan. 17 survey found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $1.829 per gallon, one cent higher than last week. The average price before the extended decline had been $2.079, on Nov. 1. The price was $1.649 at this point a year ago.

As always, AAA found a wide range of prices, with a 23-cent fluctuation this week in self-serve regular gasoline, from $1.729 to $1.959 ($1.799 to $2.199 for full-serve). The average price for mid-grade gasoline was $1.949, premium was at $2.039, and diesel averaged $2.189.
