Hops Restaurant, Bar, Brewery, a Florida-based casual dining concept, will open its first Rhode Island location in Warwick, on May 22. The restaurant will be located at 444 Quaker Lane, at the corner of Route 2 and Cowesett Road. Hops will be part of a new shopping center that will also include Sears Homelife Furniture and Lowes Home Improvement.
A second Rhode Island Hops is scheduled to open at Providence Place early this summer.

Hops is a casual dining microbrewery restaurant. According to a company press release, each dish is prepared from scratch and the beer is handcrafted on-site, in full view of patrons.
The Warwick site was selected, said Skip Jackson, managing partner, because it is a popular shopping and dining destination and a “rapidly expanding market.” Jackson said the opening of the restaurant will create between 80 and 100 new jobs.
The Hops menu features hand-peeled shrimp, beef chuck ground daily for hamburgers and baby back ribs smoked in-house. Signature soups are also made daily from scratch. Hot croissants are served while diners wait for their meals.
Meal prices range from $6 to $17. The average lunch check is $8 – the average dinner check about $14.
